Joanie, 
I still grieve heavily and think of you often. I hope Michael and your friends and family have come to accept our loss more easily than i have. I still cannot believe your not here with me to laugh at me (or me at you). I sponsored some Cancer Relay For Life team with luminary bags in your name a few days ago. They were lit all night and I nade a point of getting there to see them myself. I love you and the memories you gave me to hold onto until i see you again at a bar far above here.

Joanie,  There are no written words to describe who you are.  If only my heart could speak what it felt.  You are truly one in a million.  You always gave your all and never asked or expected anything in return.  You simply wanted everyone to be happy.  You touched so many lives in such a wonderful way.  You mentored your staff and gave them the skills to be successful.  You left them with a special feeling in their hearts.  I believe they will carry on your legacy and "pay it forward".  I hope we all will.  Last night I turned to Jeff and laughed.  When he asked why I laughed.  I simply replied, "I am picturing Joanie teaching God how to do a lemon drop!!"  I love you…till we meet again…..

Joanie was so loved by me and my family, I was blessed to know her for 20 years. She was one of the kindest people if ever knew and was always "paying it forward". She was one of only 2 non-family members we allowed to come see my daughter in the intensive care unit when she was born. I am eternally grateful for the beautiful memories I have of Joan and feel extra blessed that we had a family wedding last January in Orlando and we went a few days early to spend time with Joan. Sometimes we spoke often, sometimes there were long gaps between our conversations but we always had each in our hearts. Somehow Joan became my only female friend and it stayed that way for the entire 20 years, she was "one of the guys". She was always trying to do as much as possible for anyone and everyone without any expectation of gratitude or acknowledgement . She marched to the beat of her own drummer, carved her own path in life and never turned back seeking to change her decisions. I will forever have a warm glow in my heart from this amazing women, friend and gift from God. May she rest in peace till we meet again, and then "Look Out" :-)

Your smile, your laugh, your heart are contagious and we will hold them always. Ms. Joan your spirit will live through those of us you touched and I thank you for being our friend, our sister,  our mentor.... We love you, thank you for loving us in your own beautiful way......

My wonderful niece Joan, I don't think that I will fully understand what God's plan was for you, I know I have a lot of questions when I get there.  You were taken way too soon, I needed you in my life longer.  I was there the day you were born & never expected to be there the day you left us.  We will miss you & love you until the day I get to hug & kiss you again.

we did not get much time knowing each other. But you were kind to me when I moved here and I do thank you for that.  My son loved you a lot and you were very good to him.  I do wish we had had more time. You will be a part of my family as well as yours. You will be missed and never forgotten.

My sweet Niece...our loss is great, but you are finally at piece and in heaven with Mom, Dad and Jack.  You were taken at such a young age and so full of life.  Hope you and Uncle Don have started that card game you mentioned and don't let him cheat!  Love you forever.

I know it's been a few years since I last spoke to you But I never forgot you. You will always be in my memories. You are very special person to me back then, now and always. Loved you as a person, you always wanted what was best for everyone around you. Im just heart broken I never got to see your smile again before God took you with him. Love you always

You will be missed by many, an incredible woman with such a great heart.  It was a pleasure to have known you for the past 9 years.  I thank you for always showing a motherly love towards me.  I still can't believe your gone, however I know you will still look out and take care of all of your loved ones only this time from above next to the all mighty one as one of his angels.
