Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.

I have lots of memories of my Uncle Alan . When I was growing up in California we would go visit him , Aunt Connie and the kids . It was always a fun time at their house for me. Never a dull moment. I remember making homemade ice cream ,having family dinners with them and my grandparents.
When my parents decided to move to Oregon , Uncle Alan thought they were crazy. When we would have snow and -2 degrees he really thought we were crazy. He would tell my dad (Warren) that when it was 60 in Arizona it was cold ! I remember when I had gotten older I had called Uncle Alan and told him that I had been in the mountains snowmobiling. He said I was crazy that the snow had froze my brain . He always had said that him and Aunt Connie were going to come visit but not in winter.
I will miss you Uncle Alan

Alan was family . He was my brother , not by blood , but by heart ! I tried for over 50 years to get him to say that I was his favorite sister but the closest he came was to say that I was his favorite sister Sharon . You see , he was good and kind and fair minded , and he did have a favorite sister Elaine and a favorite sister Marilyn and a favorite sister Ann. And he loved us all the same , as we all loved him. I could go on and on about all his good points and what a wonderful Christian man that he was. He loved his children and grandchildren , but the most beautiful love of all was that for my sister Connie. His love for her never grew dim from years together, it only grew in vastness. She was his everything, And he hers. Truly a love story that will never end . He will be so missed by so many. But the good part is , we will all meet again. I can close my eyes and see the glory and wonder on his face as he looks into the Face of his Savior and King ! Amazing Grace !

Alan was always kind to me as a child. I spent a lot of time at his house when I was a kid, I was friends with his children. I loved going there because it was such a loving home. My sincere condolences go out to his family. RIP Mr. Moran💛

Alan & I were first cousins (our mothers , Mary & Leah, were sisters) & I have so many happy memories of holidays & family gatherings spent together growing up, summer trips to Catalina Island, birthday dinners at Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant and, after Alan joined the army, our moms taking Warren, me, and my brother, Joe, on a road trip to visit him at Fort Lawton in Seattle. Some of my best memories of Alan are from when he & Warren let me tag along on their escapades, notably exploring the forest from our uncle’s cabin in Big Bear. Instead of treating me like the little girl that I was, he treated me like one of the guys, which I loved. Alan was the one who sowed the seeds of my love for adventure, and he was always the one who made everyone laugh. After all these years, we had still kept in touch through email, and he still made me laugh. I was so blessed to have him in my life and I will miss him. Nancy Smith Onorato
