Alvin Bernard Parr, 95, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away at home on September 21, 2016. He was born in Howells, Nebraska on August 22, 1921. Alvin proudly served in the Army during World War II as a Rifleman with the 254th Infantry, 63rd Division, Company H. He was permanently disabled while wounded in battle and received a purple heart and bronze star. Alvin is preceded in death by his wife Lenora. He is survived by his 3 children, Kenneth Parr, Judy Johnson, and Robert Parr, as well as 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. A Memorial mass will be held October 6, 2016 at 10:30am located at St. Jerome Catholic Church following a Military committal at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona at 12:30pm.
