He is survived by his daughter Jamie Walke and son Mark Pickering, brothers; Joe Pickering and Elbert Pickering, sisters; Brenda DeSanto and Connie Guyer, along with 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Pickering, son Billy Pickering, daughter Sabrina Eastridge, and granddaughter Melissa Williams.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 1:00 pm. at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary 7924 N. 59th Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
