Agustin “Gus” Bustamante Vela, 85, a loving father, grandfather, and a great grandfather, passed away on March 21, 2018. Gus was born on March 11, 1933, to parents Lucila and Victor Bustamante in Ojinaga, Chihuahua where he spent his childhood. He went to high school in Fort Stockton, Texas and attended college at Texas Western College in El Paso, Texas. He served as a Pharmacist in the Army from 1958 until 1964 and was awarded a Good Conduct Medal. He was stationed in California where he met the love of his life, Gertrudis “Tuly” (Bruni) Bustamante. They were married 57 years. In 1970 they moved from California to Arizona where Gus opened and managed two Gemco Department stores. After retiring from Gemco, Gus re-visited his career as a Pharmacist at the Maricopa County Hospital where he worked until he retired after 20 years of service. He is survived by his wife “Tuly”, Daughter Gina (Stone), Sons Omar and Gus, adopted daughter Daysi (Name), Grandchildren, Michael, Zachary, and Stephanie, Great grandson’s Iizayah and Izaac.
