

Barbara Vaughn (Wood) Dubé passed away peacefully on August 12, 2011, in Glendale, Arizona. She was born on February 21, 1930, in Janesville, Wisconsin to William Henry Wood and Ann Ellen (Armfield) Wood. After graduating Calumet High School in 1948, Barbara was employed at Mercy Hospital, in Waukegan, Illinois as an OB Nurse. On February 16, 1950 she married Sgt. Weldon M. Dubé of Hubbell, Michigan. They were married for 61 years and 6 months. The couple settled in Glendale, Arizona after her husband retired from the Air Force. Barbara worked as a homemaker raising her two children. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Glendale, Arizona. Barbara devoted her life to her family and loved to spend her spare time at the Glendale Public Library getting books to read, and she loved knitting blankets for all of her children and newborn babies. Barbara was preceded in death by her daughter Janet Ann Cutrone and son, Robert Weldon Dubé. She is survived by her husband Weldon M., her daughter Joan Claire (Eddy) Farnum, son-in-law George C. Cutrone, six grandchildren: Robert G. Cutrone, Jennifer (John) Rohkohl, Sara A. Cutrone, Christina L. Farnum, Jason W. Farnum, Scott P. Farnum, and five great-grandchildren: Aidan L. Cutrone, Riley M. Cutrone, Katherine J. Cutrone, Mason A. Rohkohl, and Mackenzie J. Rohkohl. She is also survived by her two sisters, Dr. Margaret E. (Richard) Davis of California and Gale A. Buchs of Wisconsin. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 17 from 5-8 PM at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 West Northern Ave., Glendale. Funeral services will be at 9:00 AM, Thursday, August 18 at West Resthaven Funeral Home. Barbara will be laid to rest at the Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale, Arizona.
