

Barry Gray Pulley, the youngest of six children, was born to the late Willie Gray Pulley and Catherine Brown Pulley, on 06 January 1955, in Baltimore Maryland. His parents moved to Onancock, Virginia in 1960. He graduated from Nandua High School in 1975. After high school, he worked at radio station WESR in Tasland, VA where he developed his love of music. On October 11, 1977 he joined the United States Air Force and left for Lackland Air Force Base. He was assigned to the 509th Missile Training Wing in Tucson, Arizona as a Missile Facilities' Specialist. He met Audrey Springer on 8 September 1983 and they were married 10 March 1984. They traveled the world living in England, Germany, Florida, New Hampshire and finally retiring at Luke Air Force Base on 31 October 2001. After his retirement, Barry worked for Tricare Alliance and the Social Security Administration.
Barry loved his family and his friends. He was the jokester in the family, he loved to build things he was our “Bob Villa”. He was free with his time and would help anyone that needed help, a generous man, loved to share his life stories with others, loved to give advice to young people and encourage them to do their very best. He loved sports but loved his New York Giants most of all. Barry showed such courage through this battle, he never complained even when he was at his worst he just took it on and did his best. He was such an example to his family and friends. He lived his life fully until the end. Barry was a member of Antioch Church of God in Christ, he loved the people of Antioch and would fellowship with them as often as he could. We will miss his smile, his wit and his hugs, no one hugged like Barry. Rest in the arms of the Lord, until we meet again.
Barry leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 32 years Audrey Pulley, his children: Lawanda Morales of North Carolina, Barry Gray Pulley II (Brittany) Tolleson, Arizona and Brytanie Pulley. Two brothers Linwood Pulley, Sr (Betty) of Portsmouth, Virginia, James Rich (Connie) of Ashland, Virginia, Basil Truss (preceded him in death), Bill Truss (preceded him in death), Tyrone Truss (preceded him in death) sisters Deanna Kees and Barbara Milbourne (Floyd) of Melfa, Virginia. Mother-in-Law Verna Springer of Brooklyn, New York, sister in Law Marlyn Springer of Brooklyn, New York, niece Michone Jackson (Roshon) of Norman, Oklahoma and nephew George Lamb (Tomekia) of Surprise, Arizona. Four grandchildren Shone Pulley stationed in Alaska, Shavonne and Kayla Simpkins of North Carolina and Aaron Pulley. He also leaves a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
