Beatrice Giffen, 94, passed away on January 5, 2024, in Glendale, Arizona. She was born in 1929 to Alva Eli and Charlie Ann White in Wagoner, Oklahoma, the third of five children. Her marriage to Cecil Giffen lasted nearly 71 years until his passing.
Beatrice worked in an elementary school cafeteria and later at both General Electric and Honeywell as an assembler until her retirement in 1985. In retirement, she cared for several of her grandchildren and then worked as a hostess at Piccadilly Cafeteria. Bea was a member of the Westdale and Glendale Churches of the Nazarene where she served as a Sunday School teacher and greeter while also singing in the church choirs. She was known for baking perfect flaky pie crusts and chocolate cakes. Her other hobbies included needlework projects, ceramics, and gardening.
Bea is survived by one brother, Lester (Jan), daughters Sharon Clark, LaWanna Clark, and Pamela Duffield (Gary) as well as five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was laid to rest on Monday, January 15, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on April 5, 2024, at West Resthaven Funeral Home.
