Betty Jean Griffin Payne passed away on June 10, 2010. She was born on August 19, 1941 in Glendale, AZ and graduated from Glendale High School in 1959. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Carl Payne of Peoria, AZ, four sons; Ricky Payne of Phoenix; Michael Payne of Glendale, AZ; Terry Payne of Flagstaff, AZ and ; Gary Payne of Wynne, AR; one daughter, Stacy Payne Kettrey of Peoria, AZ; one brother, Benny Griffin of Glendale, AZ; 19 grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, and collecting nic-nacs. She as preceded in death by her parents, Annie Bess and Bentley Griffin. Visitation will be at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 West Northern Avenue, Glendale, AZ 85301 on Wednesday, June 16th from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Graveside burial service will be on Thursday, June 17, at 9:00 A.M at Resthaven Park Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, Glendale, AZ.
