I am so sorry for the loss of such a wonderful woman. She raised one of my favorite people, Shani Lee. My heart and thoughts are with you Shani, Jaden and Pops! Love from Idaho💙

Grandma Betty was such a sweet soul. I met her and the Lee family through Jaden and they have treated me like family since the day I met them!

Betty was such a loving and fierce woman who always spoke her mind. She had great fashion sense, when we went shopping together she picked out clothes that I would wear myself as a 23 year old woman. Looking back on old photos of her confirmed that she was a fashion icon!

The love she had for her family was truly inspiring. One of her favorite topics to talk about was how proud she was of her grandson Jaden. If you have never met the Lee family but you came across Betty and had a conversation, you left that encounter knowing about the Lee family and especially Jaden.

I miss her warm embraces and hearing the excitement in her voice every time I saw her. My heart goes out to the Lee family and anyone who may be struggling with the loss of this amazing woman.

I miss and love you Grandma Betty. Eat some sweets for me in heaven❤️

Betty is a beautiful Soul! ✨

I met her daughter, Shani, when I was a junior in High School. Through that friendship, I was blessed to know Betty for 30 years.

Since the day we met, Betty and Kenny treated me like I was their daughter too; that’s how Betty was, she made you feel welcomed and loved. 💗

As a young woman, I admired how Betty always kept a beautiful home; had her hair, makeup and nails done and always seemed to be enjoying life and her family.

Betty had a way of sharing life’s wisdom with us as young women that made me love her even more.

Betty would tell us a story about an experience she had as a young woman, making us howl with laughter as the story unfolded, then share the Pearls of Wisdom she learned from going through the experience.

I remember those stories like it was yesterday & the lessons she presented still ring true today. 💗

Aunt Betty I AM forever grateful to have met Shani all those years ago, and, in turn, getting to meet you and Uncle Kenny.

You are deeply loved and an absolute treasure. 💗

Mama Betty will be dearly missed. We met when her grandson Jaden and my son Tyler played club basketball together which was over 10 years ago. I will remember her for the love she had for her family and the game. And also her spunky personality that made me laugh. We became family. Prayers for Papa Kenny, Shani and Jaden. I pray that you find peace and strength. May God comfort your hearts at this time. Rest In Peace Mama Betty.

I have been friends with Betty’s daughter Shani for over 15 years. Betty always smiled big and treated us like family, welcoming us into her home for a good time. She was a proud basketball grandma, who clearly loved cheering Jaden on! She will be truly missed by her friends and family, may she Rest In Peace . My deepest sympathies to the Lee family, Betty will always be watching over you.

Betty, you Kenny, Luz, and I have shared over thirty years of close and true friendship as it should be! Our daughters who grew up together have become as sisters just as the four of us made ourselves sisters and brothers.
All of the parties and hang outs we shared seems like yesterday. The pool parties, cook outs, hanging out at the clubs “Night Life and the “Nifty 50s” and you and Kenny’s twenty-fifth Wedding Anniversary party! Man, what great memories!
What Luz and I will miss most about you is your strength of character and your strength of will to speak out direct and to the point. Your authentic and genuine personality will certainly be missed. And though you are no longer with us physically, your spirit will remain always. “You’re home now and peacefully resting!” Much love!!

I didn't know Mrs. Lee. But I do know her daughter Shani. And if she was anything like the beautiful human being that she was a part of producing, then she will receive her one way ticket to heaven. Shani is a very selfless person and understanding friend. I hope that the Lee immediate and extended family can find comfort in these times. My condolences.

So many memories 30+ years worth. Aunt Betty you were always a fighter. Always stood your ground and didn’t care what other people thought of you. You told your truth unapologetically. I admired that about you. I remember you being the person who got our elementary school to celebrate Black History Month. I remember you clearly giving our principal a piece of your mind and when he tried to become combative you were willing to put your foot up well you know the rest. Lol I will miss your feisty personality. Just know we got Shani and Uncle Kenny covered. Love you and will forever miss you.
