

Betty E. Walsh (Nichols) passed peacefully on January 24, 2025, in Murrieta California. She was born in Louisville Kentucky on November 23, 1934, to the late Mr. Arthur and Lavenia Nichols. She graduated from du Pont Manual High School in 1953 and was an active alumni.
Betty married Donald E Walsh in 1959. They started their lives together in Providence, Rhode Island moving to Phoenix in 1964. After the passing of their daughter, Colleen, they moved to Kettering, Ohio to be closer to family. Within a few years, a new opportunity in Phoenix presented itself and they made the decision to move back. After Don’s retirement, they moved to Peoria where Betty lived until moving to California in mid-2017 to live with her daughter Donna and her son-in-law.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald, her daughter, Colleen Patricia, and her son, Donald Michael. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Victor, and her sister, Wanda.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Robinson (Christopher) of California, her grandson Michael Christopher (Sondra), and great-grandsons Xander and Devlin of Phoenix. Also survived by her nieces Denise Fauver (Roger), Vicki Davis (Ron), and nephew Jimmy Lewis (Marilyn) and their families. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews from her husband’s side of the family.
She is survived by her Navajo sisters, Ophelia Charlie and Sr. Immaculata, and her Navajo brother, David Charlie.
Betty was a Hospice of the Valley volunteer, a spiritual companion, and a Chaplain. She’s been an Oblate of the Precious Blood, affiliated with The Handmaids of the Precious Blood for over 35 years, and an associate with the Irish Loreto Sisters for over 20 years. She was a Eucharistic Minister to the sick. Her Catholic faith meant everything to her. She cherished her friends throughout the United States and held them close to her heart.
Visitation at Chapel of the Chimes, Glendale, Arizona on February 11, 2025, from 4 pm to 6 pm. Celebration of life mass at St. Elizabeth Seton, Sun City, Arizona on February 12, 2025, at 10 am. Burial at noon at Resthaven Park Cemetery, Glendale, Arizona next to her husband and son. Reception immediately follows at the Chapel of the Chimes.
