Carlos E. Santa Cruz

Carlos graduated from Phoenix Union School in 1963. He served with the United States Navy.

Carlos married Peggy Veronica Calderon in 1967 and had three children Carlos Jr, Lisa, and Manuel. They shared over 53 years of marriage prior to her passing on January 13, 2021.

Carlos was a member of the I.B.E.W. Local 640 for 54 years retiring in March of 2009. After retirement, Carlos spent countless hours volunteering with the Elks Lodge and the American Legion Post 41. The skills he possessed were immeasurable. If someone asked for help, he was right there ready to step in. He loved listening to his jazz music, dancing, and singing karaoke!

Carlos is survived by daughter Lisa (Jeffrey), granddaughter Kayleigh, great-grandsons Dominic and Jaylen, sister Enedina Garcia, two brothers Jim Santa Cruz & Oscar Santa Cruz, and several cousins, nieces & nephews. He was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, godfather, uncle, and friend and will be deeply missed and forever cherished in our hearts.

In addition to his wife, Veronica, and parents, Carlos was preceded in death by sons Carlos Jr. and Manuel, two brothers Tony and Corny Jr., and great-grandson Jovan.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, starting at 9 AM at St. Helen Catholic Church, 5510 W. Cholla Street, Glendale, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM. He will be laid to rest with military honors on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at 9 AM at Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6450 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale.
