She grew up attending local schools in Phoenix and Peoria.
Carmen was employed at Diamond Department Store for many years. Her employment continued when Dillard’s purchased the company. Upon leaving Dillard’s she was employed at various senior living centers in the Northwest Valley. When Carmen retired, she exhibited a great love for dogs, lately Cha Cha and Chico.
She is survived by sisters Lupe Gonzales and Isabel Nettles, brothers Greg and Al and longtime companion Jerry Breen.
