Carmen Ada Nichols

She was born in South Bend, Indiana on October 5, 1949, to James and Lola Nichols.

She is preceded in death by her daughters Kimberly Hough, Angelina Hough and Andrea Hough, brother James Nichols Jr., sister Jeanette Nichols, and her parents.

She is survived by her son Scott(Christine) Hough, granddaughters Kimberlei ‘KC’ Hough and Angela Hough, sister Delores(Terry) Wilhite, and brother David Nichols.

Carmen proudly earned her certification in Computer Information Systems at Ivy Technical State College in South Bend, Indiana. While there, she also served as President of Student Council, Editor of the newsletter, Student Ambassador, and an instructor in computer basics.

She worked in various administrative and caregiving positions throughout her lifetime, but her most rewarding ‘job’ was taking care of her granddaughter KC as a toddler.

She will be remembered most for her love for friends and family, her quick wit, and her unapologetic sass.

Carmen will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A visitation will be held on March 2, 2026, at 12:00 pm at West Resthaven Funeral Home, located at 6450 West Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with the committal to take place at 2 pm at Resthaven Park cemetery, 6450 West Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ 8530.
