

Cary was born May 14, 1948 in Bremerhaven, Germany. He lived with his maternal grandparents until his mother and stepfather brought him to the United States in 1958. He was adopted by his step father in 1962 and lived with his parents, Hedwig and Paul Blevins, two sisters, Carol and Maria and three brothers, Mark, Marty and Michael Blevins until he joined the Marines in 1967. Cary has two children from a previous marriage, David Blevins and Sandy Parker and four grandchildren.
Cary retired in July 1987 with the rank of Master Sargent after 20 years. Cary married his wife, Lauri Ruane Blevins on April 9, 1988 and they have been married for 28 years. Cary worked as an engineer for a subcontractor to the naval weapons center in Ridgecrest, CA after leaving the service. After moving to Arizona, Cary worked as an engineer at Lockheed Martin in Goodyear for 8 years.
Cary volunteered as a service office at DAV Chapter 20 and for a short time at DAV Department. He was a member of American Legion Post 29, DAV Chapter 20 and Elks Lodge #2729.
Cary enjoyed bowling, camping, shooting with various handguns, playing bingo and slot machines at the casinos, reading and nights out at karaoke with his friends.
