Cathy Amarillas

Cathy worked for many years at Glendale Community College in maintenance and operations. She is known as a hard-core Raiders fan. She loved to dance and sing no matter where she was. Cathy loved eating hamburgers, drinking Pepsi and Jack Daniels. She loved spending time with her family. Cathy fought a long battle against Alzheimer’s disease. She will be remembered for her strength and beautiful smile.

Cathy is survived by her loving daughters… Diana Amarillas Martinez, Erica Amarillas McCoy, Michelle McCoy Benthin (Donald), and Antoinette Karie Tippen (William). Nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Her Sisters Linda Escobar, Peggy Ramirez and Dorina Pacheco. Her brothers Robert Amarillas, Stevie Amarillas and Paul Amarillas.

Cathy is preceded in death by… her father Ralphe E. Amarillas, her mother Virginia U. Amarillas, her brothers Ralph Amarillas Jr, Michael Amarillas, and her sister Norma Hernandez.

Cathy will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Cathy’s HEART, SOUL, AND SPIRIT WILL REMAIN HERE IN OUR HEARTS. Cathy was a beloved mother, nana, sister and tia.

A visitation will be held on August 7, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at West Resthaven Funeral Home, located at 6450 West Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ, 85301.

The funeral service will take place on August 8, 2025, at 10:30 am at the same location.

A graveside service will follow on August 8, 2025, at 11:30 am at Resthaven Park Cemetery, located at 6450 W Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ, 85301.
