Charlotte Locksa passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025 at the age of 78. She was born in Mesa, Arizona and was the third of eleven children born to Marion and Jewel Clement. She was married to Jesse Neal Locksa on December 6, 1968 in the LDS Temple in Mesa, Arizona. Charlotte was blessed with four children; Charlene (David), Darlene (Jaime), Sean (Cassandra), and Brian (Kolena). They have fifteen grandchildren; Chelsea, Cherish, Ariana, Savannah, Ciera, Magdalena, Celeste, Isabel, Emalisa, Rozetta, Brendan, Hayden, Quinn, Kahlan and Melody. They were blessed with three great-grandsons; Joseph, Nile and Levi.
Early in life Charlotte was devoted to her family and helped to care for her three youngest sisters. She helped out with many chores for her mother and father. She was well prepared for motherhood. Charlotte had a great love for children and was a devoted loving mother to her four children. Charlotte held many positions of responsibility in her church, but her greatest love was working with the children in Primary. After Charlotte’s children were all in school, she became a school volunteer and then a language tutor for elementary school children. She retired in 2010. Charlotte and Jesse began to go on cruises after retirement and visited many different countries including trips to Alaska and Hawaii. Charlotte and Jesse took many family trips with their children and grandchildren. Charlotte was loved by all for her kindness and service to others.
A funeral service for Charlotte will be held Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 9:30 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 701 N 95th Ave, Tolleson, Arizona. A luncheon will follow the service A graveside service will take place on Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at National Cemetery of Arizona, 2929 E Pinnacle Peak Rd, Phoenix, Arizona.
