Christopher Lee Armendariz, 39, passed away on June 2, 2026. Born December 29, 1986, Christopher’s life was marked by bright energy, an open hearted way with people, and a curiosity that kept him learning, trying, and laughing through every season. A Native Arizonan, he carried with him a faith that grounded him and a warmth that made others feel immediately welcome.
Raised in Glendale until 1997, Christopher later moved to Phoenix in 2000, then to El Mirage, and spent years going back and forth from Yuma to El Mirage—always finding ways to stay connected to the people and places that mattered to him. Wherever he was, he brought an outgoing spirit and a friendly ease that turned ordinary moments into shared ones.
In school, Christopher threw himself into drama, choir, and soccer, and he also served as a leader in his church classes—an early glimpse of both his lively personality and the steady devotion that would remain part of his life. Intelligent and inquisitive, he kept expanding his skills and interests over the years, taking Psychology classes and pursuing culinary studies, always drawn to what he could learn next and how he could grow.
Christopher worked across many fields, including fast food, warehouses, diesel mechanic work, landscaping, HVAC, and as a wastewater technician. He met each chapter with determination and drive, bringing the same upbeat, can-do energy to work that he brought to the people around him.
He found joy in simple pleasures and everyday rituals: baking, playing dominoes, drawing, doing word searches, watching movies, reading, and listening to music—especially metal and rock, along with some hip hop and country. He worked out daily and took evening walks, keeping his body moving and his mind clear, often with the kind of playful, goofy humor that made time with him feel lighter.
A faithful Catholic, Christopher prayed the rosary and completed all his sacraments. His faith was not just something he held, but something he lived—quietly present, sincerely practiced, and deeply meaningful.
Christopher is survived by his parents Maria and Hilario Armendariz, who are both very hard working, strong willed and never let any of their children go without anything needed. He is also survived by his siblings Veronica, Virginia, Juan Carlos, and Rudy, and by his two best friends who were like brothers, JD and Vince. He also leaves to cherish his memory his God parents Javier and Maria Figueroa.
Visitation will be held at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 West Northern Avenue, Glendale, Arizona Friday, June 19, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joachim and St. Anne Parish Sun City, 11625 North 111th Avenue, Sun City, Arizona, on June 23, Glendale. Inurnment will take place at Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6450 West Northern Avenue, Glendale, Arizona, on June 27, 2026, at 10:00 AM
Christopher will be remembered for the love he gave freely, the friendships he made feel effortless, the lively spark he carried into every room, and the faith that steadied him. His life remains a celebration of connection—of family, of friendship, of laughter, and of the enduring hope that love leaves behind.
