

Colleen Winfield (70) of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on February 22, 2018. Colleen was born in Fort Edward, New York on June 7, 1947. She graduated from Fort Edward High School and when on to study at Dutchess County Community College where she received her nursing degree in 1967. Colleen then worked at the VA hospital in Albany New York. It was around that time that she met her only love Richard. They met on a double date; not with each other and were later married on December 4, 1971. They lived in Europe for two years and upon returning to the United States Colleen found her true passion for the red, white and blue. She loved the United States, what it stood for and the freedom it represented. Colleen was known to give 110% to everything that she did and loved. Colleen loved her husband; her children Ryan and Lisa; the red, white and blue; her collection of nutcrackers; and the Notre Dame Football team. When the kids were younger she enjoyed decorating for Christmas. In later years Richard and Colleen enjoyed traveling all over Europe and the United States.
Colleen leaves behind her husband Richard, daughter Lisa (Roland), son Ryan (Nichole), grandchildren Harrison and Finley, and her sisters, Mary Esperti and Pat Gregory. Colleen is preceded by her parents and six other siblings. Service will be held Sunday, March 4, 2018 at 1pm at the Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary in Glendale, Arizona.
