Concepción L. "Chonita" Flores falleció rodeada del amor de su familia, el 10 de febrero de 2022.

Chonita nació el día de Navidad, 25 de diciembre de 1926 en Sáric, Sonora, México, hija querida de Emilio Lucero y Librada Mendoza.

Su esposo, Pedro Flores Cuen, precedió a Chonita en la muerte en 2017. Habían compartido más de 69 años de matrimonio.

A Chonita le encantaba cocinar, escuchar música en la cocina, pero sobre todo pasar tiempo con sus nietos y bisnietos.

Le sobreviven siete de sus ocho hijos; Melecio, Conchita, Cecilia, María Luz, Margarita, Vicenta y Laura Elena, y dos hermanos Alfonso y Manuel Lucero, 15 nietos, 32 bisnietos y su primer tataranieto que nacerá en la primavera.

Además de sus padres, hermanos y hermanas, su esposo, su hijo Emilio también precedió a Chonita en la muerte.

Los servicios se llevarán a cabo en México en una fecha en el futuro.

Concepción L. “Chonita” Flores died peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on February 10, 2022.

She was born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1926 in Sáric, Sonora, Mexico to the late Emilio Lucero and Librada Mendoza.

Her husband, Pedro Flores, preceded Chonita in death in 2017. They had shared over 69 years of marriage.

Chonita loved cooking, listening to music in the kitchen, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by seven of her eight children Melecio, Conchita, Cecilia, Maria Luz, Margarita, Vicenta & Laura Elena, two brothers Alfonso & Manuel Lucero, 15 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and her first great great grandson, who is due in the spring.

In addition to her parents and husband, various brothers and sisters, her son Emilio also preceded Chonita in death.

Services will be held in Mexico at a later date.
