Darrell Dean Hancock, 75, of Sun Lakes, Arizona, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019. He was born on February 10, 1944, to the late Wade and Audrey (Ringgenberg) Hancock. He attended El Rancho High School in Pico Rivera, California. Darrell served in the United States Air Force as an aircraft mechanic. After his military service Darrell worked for McDonald Douglas in California. His talents as a mechanic secured him a position with Continental Airlines and Southwest Airlines, whom he retired from in May 2007.
At an early age having worked as a newspaper boy and a gas station attendant, he was introduced to good business practices, which later prepared him to co-own two businesses one in California called the In Crowd Club and the other in Texas called Magic Video. Darrell enjoyed working on his or someone elses car or truck, as well as, volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House.
Darrell is survived by his loving spouse of 19 years, Sandra; daughters Amy Lynette Maple (Robert), Angela Lynn Reuter (John), Annette Dawn Collins (Jason), and Stephanye Janeen Davis; grandchildren Katelyn, Robert Jr., Amelia, Lincoln, Eliana, Ian, Ethan, and Hannah; and sisters Peggy Sharon Wheeler and Gayle Lee Christie. He is preceded in death by his sister Beverly Joan Hancock.
A Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. and a Graveside Service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Chapel of the Chimes, 7924 North 59th Avenue, Glendale, Arizona, 85301.
