David grew up in Chandler and Gila Bend, where his late father, Lewis Collier, worked as a farmer. During high school, David worked for a tire company and after graduation, was transferred to Las Vegas. He moved to the beach in California, but after a year, return to Las Vegas to pursue construction.
During this time, David met his daughter, Tobie, who, unbeknownst to him, had been put up for adoption. Shortly after, she moved to Las Vegas to be near him. He also started his own construction company: Land Developing Housing.
David would often vacation with his parents in the White Mountains, where he enjoyed fishing with his father. He also took up photography for a short time to remind of the beauty of the lake, trees, and family.
David will remembered dearly by his loved ones, including his mother, Maxine Collier, daughter Mia Kerman (Tobie), his granddaughter Katelyn Kerman, sister Brenda Jordan, niece Shawna Jordan and grand nieces JT and Paris Barnes.
