I’ve known Dave all my life! He always treated my kids like they were his grandkids! He even treated my husband as one of his own even helping rebuild the engine on his Jeep! My Dad and Dave were friends for as long as I’ve known! Dave, I hope you and Dad and Curt are having a good time up there! Miss you! Lisa

To: Dave, Jr, Mom, and rest of the family......

Sorry about your loss..... Didn't find out about the news until today. He and I go back a long way to high school days at Glendale Union High school! Yes...that far back!
His Mom was a delightful person, working very hard in the school cafeteria. He was very proud of his Mom!!
He always singled out myself & Patsy Fowler to "gab" with at break/lunch times....which we each enjoyed. Lost track of him until the Saguaro Jeep Club days & met up again when I went to work at APS. EVERYONE KNEW DAVE!! He was known & will be remembered by all!!
Jr.....Blessings to you and your family!! And, much love to all of you!!! Lu Long , MDH

I'm honored to call Dave Johnson my friend. He was tough, funny and caring. I had the pleasure to accompany him on a couple Jeep runs across the Dunes/Desert in Mexico to El Gulfo. What a blast. He was like the Pied Piper. Grown Men followed him around like happy kids. I'll never forget him or his monster handshake. RIP my friend. I'll see you again someday.

I too live in Chattanooga TN and first saw Dave back in the early 1980's while calling on him at APS. I spent 44 years with Sherman & Reilly and we designed and manufactured specialized equipment for erecting power lines both overhead & underground of which Dave was involved and everyone in the utility industry knew WHO Dave Johnson was!! He was the first person in the Western part of the USA to believe in our new underground puller. I learned a great deal from Dave Johnson and if he liked and trusted you, well he was your friend for life!!. it would be hard to find a customer and vendor as close as Dave i and our 3rd. Amigo Jerry Cheeks. We spend quality time together and was always there for each other in business & friendship. Dave love his family dearly and so do I. Joann & the entire Johnson Family my heart, thoughts & prayers are with you during our great loss. God Bless and R.I.P. Dave Johnson...Thanks for the memories. John "El Chapo" Whitt

It was so special to work on the same team with "Senior". Never knew what shenanigans he was going to pull, and for this accounting, nose to the grindstone gal, I needed that! RIP my friend I know you're already exploring the back roads in heaven....

I live in Chattanooga, TN and got to know Dave about 30 years ago when I started working at Sherman & Reilly. After our first meeting I was infected by his charm, quick wit and a heart as big as they come. Didn't get to visit as often as we both would have liked but we always started right we left off. Always excited to visit with him because you would end up in some kind of adventure with tons of laughs. I'm glad I got to know him, proud that he was my friend and as an old Marine I salute him for serving our country. JoAnn & Dave Jr. and to the rest of the family, hope everyone's thoughts and prayers brings you peace. God Bless you all.
