Born on July 25, 1936, in Hopkins, Minnesota, DawnRae was the cherished daughter of Gilbert Van Steenwyk and Norma Arneson. She was a devoted wife to her late husband, John Day, and is survived by her sons, Steven "Steve" Day, Michael "Mike" Day, and Richard "Rick" Day. DawnRae is reunited with her daughter Leslie who passed away at a very young age.
DawnRae was known for her faithful nature. She grew up enjoying the simple pleasures of ice skating on the frozen lakes of Minnesota. Her life was deeply rooted in her faith as a believer in Jesus Christ.
A visitation will be held at West Resthaven Funeral Home on April 11, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. A graveside service will take place at Resthaven Park Cemetery, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm with a catered reception to follow until 2:00 pm. DawnRae will be remembered for her unwavering faith and the love she shared with those around her.
