Obituary of Dennis Glen Caldwell
IN THE CARE OF

West Resthaven Funeral Home & Resthaven Park Cemetery

Dennis Glen Caldwell passed away on May 19, 2024. As Dennis passed in his husband Greg’s arms, he absolutely knew how much he was loved, without question. He was Greg’s heart & soul and loved deeper than any measurable distance.

Dennis was the most wonderful, kindest, loving, softhearted, fun & funny man you could ever hope to meet. He and Greg met on May 5, 1998, had their first date on May 8, 1998, and from that point were together for over 26 years. They were one another’s entire world, a team. Dennis truly knew how deeply, deeply loved he was, their time together revolved around making sure each other were happy, and well cared for.

Dennis was born on July 25, 1951 in Richmond, Kentucky to the late Gaynor and Ruth Caldwell. He grew up in the hills of Northern Kentucky on a 22-acre farm where in his childhood he assisted his father in the tobacco fields, planting then harvesting crops. Dennis graduated from Simon Kenton High School in 1969. He briefly worked for a paper company, then American Book. In 1974, he began working for Levi Strauss & Co. In 1978, Levi opened a branch in Henderson, Nevada and relocated Dennis to Boulder City, Nevada to be a part of the management team. Dennis moved to Las Vegas in 1982 and began working as a claims adjuster for AAA Auto Insurance where he remained until retiring in October of 2005. In 2005, Dennis and Greg purchased Dennis's childhood farm and relocated back to Northern Kentucky where they lived for 10 years. In late 2015, they relocated for the last time to Phoenix, Arizona.

Dennis was one of four children, two older sisters, Rose and Marlene and one younger brother, Garold "Dean" Caldwell, all of whom preceded him in passing.

Dennis LOVED animals and was known by all of his neighbors as the "Kind Man with the Dog Treats" he also has a pet cat named Alex who he loved dearly. Dennis is and will be deeply missed and loved by all who knew him.

My heart & soul aches missing him. I MISS YOU my baby doll, love bug, love of my life. I love you forever and a day. You rest now; I will see you again my love. I love you!! -Greg
