With deep sadness, we share the passing of our father’s cherished wife and our beloved mother, Diane Wehe Economou. Her given middle name was Grace, and true to its meaning, she was an undeserved gift to all of us. We love and celebrate her, and we deeply miss her.
Our mother’s beauty will live on. And though she can no longer light up a room simply by walking in it, her rich legacy will continue through the lives of those she touched with her sweet (and spunky) presence, enduring love, and faithful prayers.
Our mother was brilliant and wise, resilient and hopeful, kind and spirited, and faithful and prayerful. She loves Jesus with all her heart and believes and shares with her life: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves. It is a gift from God.” Ephesians 2:8-9
Diane is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Peter; her children, Terre (Rob), Randi (Randall), and Nick (Katy); her grandchildren, Sarah (Cody), David (McKenna), Jack (Natalie), Ryan (Ashley), and Jordan, Emma, Laynie, and Tommy; her great-grandchildren, Bella, Ivy, and Beckham; her siblings, Nancy (John), Daniel, and Susan (Ken), along with Nancy’s children, David and Melissa, and their families, and Susan’s children, Seth and Nathan, and their families. She was preceded in death by her father, David Wehe; her mother, Geraldine Miller (Chet); and also Chester Miller; her nephew, Matthew; and her son-in-law, Mark.
Her family and our dear friends will gather, both virtually and in person, to celebrate her life on Saturday, November 9th, at 2:00 PM, 42640 N 54th Street, Cave Creek, Arizona 85331.
