I keep picking up the phone to call you for a recipe, or just to chat, but, then I remember, you are no longer home to answer. I'm so sad that you are gone, I couldn't begin to put it into words. 
I kept my promise to you, and I will continue to do so, until each and every one of the boxes are checked. It just won't be the same without you there to share it with.
Thank you for being the most amazing mom to me through all of the heartbreaking losses, I knew only you could understand. And thank you for the greatest summer vacations any kid could ever dream of. But most of all, thank you for loving my dad so very much and for making him so very happy.

I will miss most the stories she would tell and the enthusiasm, with which she would tell them. She was forever the artist, whether it be on a canvas, in the kitchen or the holiday decorations.
