Donna Lee Jerome

She was born on March 24, 1936, in Rome New York to the late Lorin and Charlotte Gifford.

Donna married the love of her life, Richard D. Jerome on November 30, 1957; they shared 55 years of marriage and had three children David, Kimberly & Shari. Dick, a F-4 fighter pilot in the USAF, passed away on March 6, 2013. Donna loved their 30 wonderful years in the Air Force.

Donna and Dick were famous for their many house parties, especially the ones at Christmastime. They really went all out decorating their home, inside and out.

Donna loved any kind of card games, especially bridge and poker with her friends and family. Her favorite activity was playing bingo with her many friends and traveling.

Donna is survived by two daughters Kim (Jayce) McCormick & Shari (Drew) Jerome, brother Richard (Rose Marie) Gifford, sister Joan (William) Fleet, six grandchildren Shaun Bolin, Rhande Jerome, Jayce Shaughnessy, Trent Shaughnessy, Breanna Shaughnessy & Staci Dickens, eight great grandchildren Emisha Bolin, Remington Bolin, Addison Dickens, Koebe Shaughnessy, Gunner Navejar, Kameron Shaughnessy, Ellie Navejar & Easton Shaughnessy.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son David on December 22, 2010 and her sister Patricia Millson.

Donna missed Dick and David very much, as she was their caregiver for many years before they passed away. During her final years Kim, Shari and the grandkids were the joys of her life!

A visitation will be held at West Resthaven Funeral Home, located at 6450 West Northern Avenue, Glendale, on Monday, March 24, 2025, starting at 9:30AM.

Funeral services will follow at the same venue on Monday, March 24, 2025, beginning at 10:00AM.

Donna will be privately laid to rest with Dick at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, Phoenix.

Donna was well loved and will be greatly missed.
