She was born in Kansas City, KS on September 24, 1946 to the late Wayne and Norma Chipley.
She worked in the insurance industry as an insurance rater for multiple large insurance companies as well as a few smaller ones.
She joined the LDS church in the mid-80s. While she was unable to attend Church meetings on a regular basis due to her illnesses, she still practiced by reading scriptures and watching church programs regularly.
She enjoyed music very much. Being from a family blessed with musical talent, she loved singing and had a beautiful voice. She was always being asked to sing. She had to learn the accordion when she was younger because her parents explained that there is not always a piano where they performed. She was able to transfer her experience playing the accordion to playing the piano. She always said the hardest part was getting the chords right.
