Dorothy Rae Ziegler, 78, a long-time resident of the Peoria area, passed away Friday, September 23, 2016. Dorothy received her B.A at Pasadena College in 1960; she later received her Master’s in Special Education while attending ASU and NAU. Dorothy taught at Sunnyslope High School, Washington Elementary School, Agua Fria High School, Northwest Christian Academy, Cactus High School and Laveen Elementary School. Dorothy is survived by her husband, Roger Ziegler, and one daughter Tierza Havier, three grandchildren, two brothers Donald and Harold McKisson, and three great grandchildren.
