Eddie B. Avila

Eddie B. Avila passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 12, 2020 in Glendale, AZ at the age of 68. Eddie was preceded in death by his sister Linda Castillo, his brother Pedro, his daughter Mary Helen, and his parents Manuel and Bartola Avila.

Eddie will always be remembered by his family: his wife Martha, his children Pedro (Peter) Avila, Melissa Avila Navarro, and Karen Alaniz, his grandchildren Briana, Ariana, Viviana, Mariana, Nathan, Natalie, Pedro Jr., Laloni, Alyvea, Harley, Justice, Maria, Luis, Gabriel, Michael, Nathaniel and Noah.

Eddie was born on September 28, 1951 in Phoenix, AZ. He attended Phoenix Union High School and eventually received his GED. Eddie was employed with Salt River Project. He retired after 32 years of dedicated service. Eddie’s main hobby was rebuilding classic cars. He spent many hours on his 1940 Chevy sedan and his 1950 Chevy truck. Eddie was also an avid gardener. He took great pride in making his yard beautiful.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 AM on Friday, July 24, 2020 at St. Mary's Basilica, 231 North 3rd Street, Phoenix, AZ. Inurnment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Avondale.
