Edward Michael Guerrero

Master Sergeant Edward Michael Guerrero passed away Friday, September 22, 2023. He was 58 years old. He was the loving husband of Cheryl Guerrero. Eddie was born to and predeceased by his parents Henry Anthony Guerrero and Maria Florenia (Flora) Guerrero of Phoenix, AZ.

Eddie is survived by his wife Cheryl Guerrero, his children Michael G. Guerrero and Kimberly M. Guerrero; brothers Anthony R. Guerrero, Phillip L. Guerrero, and William R. Guerrero, and sisters Maria V. Guerrero and Amanda J. Guerrero.

Eddie was blessed with nine grandchildren: Chance Milton, Logan Milton, Enderson Milton, Daxton Milton, Carter Milton, Riley Greer, Drew Greer, Jade Guerrero, and Greyson Guerrero.

Eddie grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and graduated from Moon Valley High School in 1983. Upon graduation, Eddie enlisted in the United States Air Force and served his country proudly for 21 years. He was assigned as a navigation communication specialist with the 161st Air Refueling Wing, Arizona Air National Guard. Eddie worked on the Wing’s KC-135 Aerial Refueling tankers based at Phoenix’s Sky Harbor International Airport.

Eddie also managed his own house painting company. He was an absolute perfectionist about his work. He always did more than what was expected of him. His motto was, “whatever it takes.” That is why all his work was the result of positive referrals, he never needed to advertise.

Ed had an amazing memory; he could remember people’s names, addresses, children, and pet’s names, and even which color his customer’s homes were painted 10 years previously.

Ed loved all things outdoors: fishing, four wheeling, shooting, camping, RVing. He was big on life and enjoyed every minute. He was always thinking of others first, he had an interconnection with others along the way.

Funeral services are scheduled for 9 a.m. on Friday, October 6, 2023, at Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints, 12951 North 83rd Avenue, Peoria, AZ. 85345, followed by a luncheon for family and friends. Master Sergeant Guerrero will be buried at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona at 23029 North Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ 85024.
