Elberta Marie Anderson White joined the love of her life Mahlon on April 13, 2021. She was born on September 13, 1937 to Christopher and Viola Anderson in Phoenix, Arizona making her a rare native of Arizona She graduated from Glendale High School in 1955 and while working as a car hop for A&W Root Beer Stand met Mahlon while he was stationed at Luke Air Force Base. They began to date and married on November 5, 1955.
She loved to cook and entertain family and friends and was happiest when her house was full. She enjoyed crafting, tending to flower gardens, addicted to soap operas, the Price is Right and crossword puzzles. Later in life they joined a club and went camping throughout the State of Arizona dragging along their grand daughters Amy and Lisa Moreno teaching them how to play cards and have them listen to all of her jokes. She was definitely her own person, dressed the way she wanted (sometimes her shoes didn’t match) and created her own language just to aggravate Mahlon. This language lives on through her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and befuddles friends.
Elberta was preceded in death by her husband Mahlon White and Grand Daughter Kristy White. She is survived by her children Cherie White Moreno, Michael White and Christina White Sutton. Grand children Amy Moreno, Lisa Moreno, Michelle White Kolb and Michael White. 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild and brother Lou Anderson of San Diego California.
