I am honestly shocked and sad to just today be hearing of granny Ellen’s passing.

I am happy she had such a great turnout at her service, as she did touch so many people from all different walks of life. In my heart I know there are people that love her and are deeply hurt today.

Granny Ellen, thank you for the wonderful memories. I am so thankful for the time that we did have. ❤️

"I love you" is too few words for you. 1 million words are not enough. Your funeral spoke volumes to me. It was such a reflection of who and what you are. There were so many people moved and hurt by the loss of you. The Deacon commented on the huge turn out. I was reminded of you when I looked at the crowd. Family, friends, Jewish people, Mexican people, Gay people, German people, Polish people....What a lesson you taught us. You always judged people by their character and nothing else. I guess that is why there were so many people that loved you. You were the original Hippie! You never said "NO" to a stray animal and you were always ready to feed anyone who was hungry. It is so rare that outer beauty and inner beauty meet, but Mom you had it all! I can just tell you that you are a remarkable example to your children and grandchildren of how life should be, and as long as we remember that, you will always be alive and with us. I can NEVER thank you enough Mom for being so perfect. I never had a friend that didn't say to me "I wish I had your Mother". But you were mine.

Devoted to you for eternity,
Your son Joseph

I'll never forget the first time I met Gumma, she instantly made me feel a part of the family. She always put my needs first and was always caring. Any time I saw her she lit up the room with her smile. I don't think I ever saw her in a bad mood. I had avoided writing this because I was sad and wasn't sure what to say but after seeing her other grandson (my cousin andrew) recently we reminisced and he reminded me that she would not want me to be sad though it's still difficult not to be. I will always miss her smile, her laugh and her cheerfulness. I love you Gumma.

Gumma was the best grandma that anyone could ask for. She would always lighten up the mood with her amazing sense of humor. I will always cherish the memories of going to her house and baking cookies with her, something that could never be forgotten. Thank you for always being such a great grandma to all of your grandchildren and I am truly lucky to have had you in my life, you will be dearly missed by everyone who knew you. ❤️❤️
