Eloisa was born on November 12th, 1927, in Glendale where she proudly resided for nearly 90 years.
The love of her family was always present and most noticeable in moments that include: her 59 years of marriage to her husband, Paul Silva; sharing the gift of life with her sister, Amelia, by donating a vital organ; and supporting her granddaughters’ dance performances for over two decades. Eloisa’s love for her family was unbound as she also made the journey to visit her brother’s gravesite, who gave his life serving our country in World War II, at Epinal Military Cemetery in France.
After 30 years of service from the E. L. Gruber Company as a seamstress, Eloisa retired and enjoyed spending her summers in Munds Park, Arizona with her family. Dancing, gardening, traveling, praying the rosary daily, and spending time with family were among her favorite things to do. She also enjoyed looking back on the memories shared with friends and family in the photos captured over the years.
Eloisa was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Silva; parents, Teofilo and Amelia Gutierrez; brother, Roberto Gutierrez; sisters, Susana Carrasco, Amelia Hernandez, Norma Ponce, and Ana Gutierrez.
She is survived by her daughter Diane Camarillo (husband Fidel), granddaughters Erika Mariano (husband Rodel) and Marisa Camarillo Chávez (husband Jesús); her three great-grandsons, Rodel Jr., Alexander, and Xavier; and her Sister, Rita Gutierrez. She will also be dearly missed by her numerous nieces and nephews.
Wake Services will be held at West Rest Haven on Sunday, February 11th, from 12 pm-3 pm. The funeral Mass will be at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Glendale on Monday, February 12th, at 11 am (preceded by a Rosary service at 10:30 am), and internment to immediately follow at West Rest Haven Cemetery.
Her family will all cherish the memories of their “Super Nana” and their strong matriarch forever. May she rest in peace.
