Ethel C. Bauer, 98, passed away April 13, 2013. She was born October 14, 1914 in Baker, North Dakota to William James and Enzanetta Armanella Church who migrated from Smith Falls, Ontario to homestead in 1898. Ether was the last surviving sibling of 13 children. She graduated from Valley City State University and went on to become a school administrator and teacher in Puerto Rico until she retired at the age of 75. She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Ronald C. Bauer. Ethel is survived by her son, Logan P. Bauer and daughter Elena Mitchell; grandchildren Sean Long, Christl Ferguson, and Sean Bauer; and great-grandchildren Salya Long and Troy Ferguson. Services will be held at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 N. 59th Avenue, Glendale, on Saturday April 27 at 4:30 with a visitation beginning at 4:00.
