Ezell was an avid sports fanatic. He attended school at East High School in Buffalo, New York and became a die-hard Cowboys fan. Once a Marine always a Marine as he enlisted as a teen. He was the defender of his family. Also a singer in Junior and Youth Choir at Calvary Baptist Church under Rev. Peter Jrammell and Rev. L.T. Boycen in Buffalo, New York. In 1972 he found the love of his life Carol Dunston. In 1978 they married in Buffalo, New York and later moved to Glendale, Arizona. Ezell enjoyed playing basketball at the local park. He worked for years as a delivery driver and warehouse manager.
Ezell Stephens was a loving and devoted husband, father, uncle, grandfather, brother, cousin and friend. He leaves his cherished wife of thirty eight years, two sons David and Michael ; two grandchildren Malik and Jhanay; two sisters Terry and Betty and five brothers Jim, Larry, Shepard, Elvis and Reginald. A host of nieces and nephews.
