Frank Luther Hoffmeister, age 97, of Glendale, Arizona, passed away on November 5, 2023. He was born on July 17, 1926, in Taylorville, Illinois. Frank served in both the Navy and Air Force for 35 years, dedicating his life to military service.
After his time in the military, Frank went on to have a successful career. He served in the Navy and Air Force and later became the owner of Northwest Services. Frank was a man of many talents and interests. He enjoyed playing golf, woodworking, racing, and coaching swimming. He was also actively involved as a 4-H leader and cherished spending time with his grandchildren.
Frank will be remembered for his sense of humor, pride, love, devotion, and caring nature. He brought joy and laughter to those around him and left a lasting impact on his family and friends.
Frank is survived by his daughter, Linda Sweeney, and son-in-law, Bill Sweeney, his son, Frankie Hoffmeister, and daughter-in-law, Charlene Hoffmeister. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Allyson, Ashley, Russell, Melissa, Bryan, Heather, Seth, and Shelby. He is also survived by his great grandchildren Ashtyn, Kolten,Ty, and Evan. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Augusta Hoffmeister.
A funeral service will be held at Chapel of the Chimes, located at 7924 N. 59th Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301. Visitation will be held from 10:30am to 11:30am, followed by the service from 11:30am to 12:30pm. A graveside service will take place from 1:00pm to 1:30pm at Rest Haven Cemetery, located at 6450 W Northern, Glendale, AZ 85301.
