Gary Wayne Rapp, 69, of Glendale, Arizona passed away on June 18, 2019. Gary was born in Mount Vernon, Ohio on April 20, 1950 to Mabel Kathryn (Frontz) and Harold Eugene Rapp. Gary and his family moved to Maryvale in 1960 where he attended school and graduated. Gary started a job at Revlon in Phoenix, Arizona on August 11, 1969 where he worked for 27 years until retiring; but more importantly, this is the date that Gary met the love of his life, Margaret, in Revlon Orientation, as Margaret started working there on the same day . Gary’s family remembers him telling stories about what he did and the things that happened while working for Revlon.
Gary enjoyed sports. "He liked the Suns, Diamondbacks, and Cardinals, and was a true Coyotes fan who could be heard howling in the house when they scored a goal.
He also loved the time that he went fishing and camping with his family and always wished they could go more often. "Gary also loved sci fi and horror movies and shows. He was interested in space and technology and the possibility of UFO's and aliens."
Gary had a passion for building. He loved working with his hands and building patio furniture. He made them out of PVC and took the time to paint both the PVC and the wood to make sure they were perfect.
Gary will be missed for his stories and love of his family.
Gary leaves behind his wife and Love of his life, Margaret; his son Jerry Rapp; siblings Doug (Nancy) Rapp, Bryan (the late Lynne) Rapp, and Debbie (Larry) Anderson; sister in laws Irene (Eugene) Alvarado, Gloria Rodriquez, Esther WInkelmann; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.
