Gerald Keith McCoy

Gerald “Jerry” Keith McCoy passed away on August 28, 2018.

He was born on February 7, 1929 in Coffeyville, Kansas to the late George and Alma McCoy.

Jerry served with the United States Airforce during the Korean War.

He married Vieneta Liebert on December 21, 1951.

Jerry worked for Air Research – Garrett for over 35 years retiring in 1991.

In addition to Vieneta, his wife of 66 years, he is survived by his daughter Amy (Gary) Sorensen, two grandsons Noah & Ben, sister-in-law Millie Liebert, five nephews David Dienst, Jeremy Dienst, James Dienst, Randy Liebert & Fred Liebert and two nieces Karen Miller & Sharon Shaw. Jerry was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law Sherilyn & John Dienst, niece Dinah Dienst, brother-in-law Fred Liebert and sister-in-law LaVerne Tracey.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 2PM at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale. Burial will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Arizona Humane Society, 1521 W. Dobbins Road, Phoenix, AZ 85041.
