

89, born East Liverpool, Ohio, May 7, 1924, God recieved a new angel on June 21, 2013. Geri, as she liked to be called, was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on May 7, 1924. She worked as a switchboard telephone operator for many years in Ohio. She met Orvill (Jack) Handley through his sister Virginia Youree and Geri and Jack were married March 10, 1945, a marriage made in heaven and lasted until Jack's death in 2005. They moved to AZ in 1951 and built a life together and retired to Pebble Creek Community in 1995. Geri enjoyed playing golf, cards-especially her weekly Euchre game night. She looked forward to the winter months so she could play Boche. She participated in water exercise classes which was a great joy to her. But her most enjoyable time was spent with her family. Her favorite thing became cruising with her 2 daughters. All you had to say to her was "where would you like to go" and she said "anywhere you want to take me!" Geri is survived by her two daughters, Nancy Eaton, Marilyn (Bob) Taugner; grandchildren, Jeff (Jamie) Eaton, Jennifer (Steve) Yohn and Kate (Joshua) Taugner Pippins; and her greatest joys- great grandchildren, Bailey and Cole Yohn, Jaycie, Jack, and Jolie Eaton, Timothy, Micah and Silas Pippins; nephew Don Prescott and many more nieves and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Jack Handley and grandson, Timothy Taugner. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 9:30am at Calvary United Methodist Church, 7949 W. Indian School Road, Phoenix. Interment at Resthaven Park Cemetery, Glendale.
