Gloria Jean Foster

Gloria Jean Foster, age 81, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 9, 2025. She was born on July 17, 1944 in Biloxi, Mississippi to Eula and Washington Joseph. She grew up with five siblings: Mary Joseph [deceased], Washington Joseph Jr. [deceased], Celestand Joseph [deceased], Michael Joseph, and Andre Joseph.

Throughout her life, Gloria was known for making others laugh, honesty, strength, and love. She dedicated herself to being of service to her family and friends. She touched countless lives through charismatic nature, skilled cooking, and words of wisdom.

She was married to the love of her life William Foster [deceased] for 26 years. Her family was the center of her world, and she especially cherished her children: Mark Foster, Kenneth Foster [deceased], and Subrena Burwell; grandchildren: Kenneth Antonio Foster, Vanessa Navarro [deceased], Tyreek Burwell, and Asha Burwell. Known for lighting up a room, she brought warmth to every gathering and created memories her family will forever hold close.

In addition to her family life, Gloria found joy in dancing, cooking, and listening to 60’s and 70’s old school R&B. Her legacy lives on in the love she generously gave and the lessons she provided to everyone fortunate enough to know her.

A service to honor Gloria Jean Foster will be held on Friday, November 21st from 5-8PM at Chapel of the Chimes at 7924 North 59th Avenue Glendale, Arizona 85301.

She will be deeply missed, remembered always, and loved forever.

A visitation will take place at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, located at 7924 North 59th Ave, Glendale, AZ, 85301, United States. The visitation is scheduled for November 21, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
