Grace, a lifetime resident of Phoenix, was born September 10, 1952 in Phoenix, to Frank & Anna Delise whose abiding love and selflessness was a constant inspiration to Grace. In 1972 she graduated from Bourgade High school where she made many lifetime friends. She proceeded on to receive an Associate’s Degree from Glendale Community College.
Grace took great joy in working for Maricopa County for more than 30 years. She began her career with the Bureau of Vital Statistics and progressed through a variety of positions in the health care system and hospital. Here her deliberate and caring nature was put to full use. After a fulfilling career Grace retired in 2002. Her name can be found in front of the Maricopa County Office Building on the pillars located there denoting long and valued service. After retirement Grace involved herself in her favorite hobbies such as sewing and crafting and volunteering for several organizations.
In 2000 she married her devoted husband Michael Manning and they set off on many adventures together. In 2003 they moved to Riverton, Wyoming while Michael continued his career. While there they enjoyed traveling throughout the Western United States.
She is survived by her husband Michael, stepchildren Robert (Najet) and Jennifer (Richard) and grandchildren Savannah, Richard, and Madison. She is also survived by her sisters Maryann (Dick) Grannis, and Patricia Doyle and brother Vincent (Bonnie) Delise. Many nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews will also mourn her loss.
A visitation and celebration of her life will take place Sunday, February 25, 6 PM at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary 7924 N. 59th Ave. Glendale, AZ 85301, with a rosary to follow. A Funeral Mass will be Monday 10 AM at St. Joachim and St. Anne Parish Sun City 11625 N 111th Ave, Sun City, AZ 85351. A reception will follow immediately in the church hall.
