He was born January 18, 1937, to Genevieve and Walter Neuheisel in Phoenix, Arizona, at the original St. Joseph's hospital. He attended St. Matthew's Grammar School and St. Mary's High School in Phoenix, class of 1955. Then on to Phoenix College for one year.
In 1957, he married his high school sweetheart, Linda Crocker, and they had six children. They were married 68 years,
He played basketball, baseball and football in high school. He was very involved with his kids' lives coaching little league baseball and softball; the Fall Festival and the Men's Club at SS. Simon & Jude School and Church were like a second home; he hosted many football trips to San Diego for the Men's Club; and he was on a couple bowling leagues through work. His career as a Production Manager was 35 years with General Electric/Honeywell and he subsidized the family income with roofing jobs on evenings and weekends. He enjoyed all sports, however, in his 36 years of retirement, golfing was his favorite and that was twice a week. He loved family game nights and Thanksgiving, but his favorite memory was the Neuheisel Reunion in 2000, which he and Linda arranged for the family to be together and have a fun and memorable time.
He was preceded in death by his wife Linda, a daughter Donna, a nephew Matthew, a sister-in-law Kay Vargas and a son-in-law Chris Laney. He is survived by his children Cheri, Greg (Joey), Kay Lynn (Frank), Judy (John), Joe (Tara), 16 Grandchildren (and their spouses), 32 Great Grandchildren, and one Great Great Grandchild. Hank was an only child, but his legacy lives on in 70 of his descendants.
Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the unconditional love and memories shared with Hank - a husband, a father, a papa, a great papa, an uncle, and a friend. He set the bar pretty high for all of us to live by with his faith, always showing up and having a good time. May he rest in eternal peace, with Linda, and in the arms of the Lord.
Visitation will be held at St Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 9728 W Palmeras Dr, Sun City, AZ 85373, US, on May 14, 2026, from 9:00 am to 9:30 am, followed by a Rosary at St Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church from 9:30 am to 10:00 am, and a Funeral Mass at St Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church from 10:00 am to 10:45 am.
