

Irma J. Fimbres, a beloved and faithful soul, passed away on April 28, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on October 10, 1960, in Phoenix, Irma was one of five children born to Antonio and Pauline Aldama. She was a resident of Glendale, Arizona, where she lived a life full of love and dedication to her family and friends.
Irma devoted over 30 years of her career as an Administrative Assistant for the State of Arizona in the Department of Economic Security, retiring as her health began to decline. Her commitment to her work and the people around her was a testament to her faithful nature.
On November 21, 1981, Irma married Alexander Fimbres, and together they raised two daughters, Tina and Adriana. Irma's nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family, as she played a significant role in raising several other children, including some of her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her husband Alexander; daughters Tina Fimbres and Adriana Soltero; sons Tommy Leyva and Rocky Soltero, five grandchildren, Celina Fimbres, Xaviar Leyva, Arielle Soltero, Aneesa Soltero, and Angeliah Soltero; and two great-grandsons, Alex and Ayden. Irma also leaves behind her four siblings, Petra Mendez, Paul Aldama, Carmen Aldama, and Debra Espinoza, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Irma was the glue of her family, living for her loved ones and the countless friends she made along the way. Known affectionately as "Mom" to many, she was a family planner and a fantastic cook, always ensuring everyone felt welcomed and cared for. Her influence was profound, with many of those she helped raise crediting her for their success in life.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at the Diamond Event Center, located at 7241 W. Indian School Road, Phoenix, AZ, 85033. The service is scheduled for Friday, May 9, 2025, starting at 2:00 pm.
