Irma was born on January 25, 1932, in Brawley, CA. There, she lived a loving life surrounded by family and friends. She met her first husband and welcomed two beautiful sons, Jesse and Ralph Teran. After a few short years of marriage, Irma was widowed at a very young age. She worked in the office for the Royal Packing Company where she later met and wed the love of her life, Joe H. Macias Jr. Soon after, the couple welcomed their first son, Joey, and not long after, they all moved to Glendale, Arizona. The couple eventually grew their family with 3 more children, Gina, Freddie, and Debbie. Irma and Joe lived a beautiful life with their six children. Irma was active and often volunteered at the kids’ school and was known as the Neighborhood Team Mom, supporting the kids’ many recreational sports activities. Although Irma spent her early years as a stay-at-home mom, she later went on to work for 15 years at what is now known as Chase Bank. Irma spent 91 wonderful years spreading joy to everyone around her. She was a comfort to many and a joy to all.
Irma was predeceased by her husband, Joe H. Macias Jr, and Daughter, Deborah Ann Macias. She is survived by five of her six children, eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for all the heart she shared with her friends and family. She truly loved each of them and if you knew her, you knew it. When her time came, she carried herself with dignity, and strength, and was full of love for those who went before her. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends in the neighborhood, both young and old.
