Mrs. James (Jay) Braddix "Chicken"

James “Jay" Winters Braddix April 29, 1950 - August 6, 2010 Resident of Glendale AZ. Born and raised in Nashville, TN. She was the first daughter of the late James Allison and Virginia Greer. She was the sister of Rosie Allison and Shelia Smith. Jay joined the U.S. Army in 1971 where she first meets her husband Norman 'Brad" Braddix.

Jay and Brad became parents of three beautiful children: Christania, Aisha and Kody. She was the grandmother of three wonderful grand-children: Jayla, Breya and Kellen. And let’s not forget Jay was also a mother figure to a host of extended family and friends who loved her.

Before Jay's battle with sickness she always worked helping others, which she loved to do. She worked with the young and elderly until she wasn't able to do so.

Jay will forever be remembered by her devoted husband, children, grandchildren, sisters, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Family was always the most important thing to her. The love she shared was from the deepest depth of her heart and this was what made her life worth living.

The seeds she planted were all the seeds that were planted in her life as a child. She became a woman, wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend to so many. Jay wanted to instill in her family and friends what her values of life were, which was to value family, commitment and kindness.
