James Dean Pingitore

James “Jimmy” Dean Pingitore, 68, passed away on September 12, 2026 in Youngtown, AZ. He was born in Chicago, Illinois and was the 2nd child of 4 of his mother, Patricia and Father, John. He spent the early part of his youth in Illinois and moved to Arizona when he was 13 years old where he lived for the rest of his life.

After Jimmy graduated from high school, he enlisted in the Air Force where he worked as a lineman in New Mexico. He took great pride in working in the military and was very proud to be an American and serve his country. Out of the military, he continued his education and graduated from Devry with a degree in electronic technology.

Jimmy was exceptionally intelligent, highly artistic and creative, with the perseverance to design, repair or build anything he put his mind to. Many years of his career were dedicated to assisting his brothers in their landscaping/nursery businesses. They valued his contributions and innovative ideas. Later, he served many years as his dad and mom’s right-hand man, maintaining, renovating and managing their rental properties and functioning as their personal assistant/handyman. They felt blessed to have him as a son and appreciated his strong work ethic and workmanship.

Jimmy will be remembered for his fantastic sense of humor and quick wit, his resilience, kindness, patriotism and loyalty to his family and friends. His greatest accomplishment was his 3 amazing children, whom he loved unconditionally. He was thrilled to be a grandpa to his 4 adorable grandchildren as well. He also enjoyed being a stepfather and step grandpa to his 4 bonus grandchildren. The times they were able to spend together and the memories they made will be cherished forever.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Patricia and John. He is survived by his wife, Tara, daughter, Leisha (Jordan), daughter, Samantha (Travis), son, James, grandchildren, Harvey, Alzada, Jackson and Colton, stepdaughter, Ashley (Kyle), step grandchildren, Braylee, Kynslee, Bentlee and Everlee, brother, George (Lulu), brother, John (Annette), sister, Sherri and many other family and friends who loved him.

He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held in his honor at Chapel of the Chimes located at 7924 N. 59th Ave., Glendale, AZ 85301 on Friday, October 9th at 11 am.
