

Jan Louise Levendofsky Kasl, daughter of Gladys (Viselmeyer) and Lawrence Levendofsky, was born on June 27, 1954 at Concordia, Kansas. She passed away Friday, December 3, 2010 in Falls Church, Virginia at the age of 56 years. Jan attended elementary schools in Republic and Concordia, Kansas before she graduated from Belleville High School in 1972. She attended Kansas State University and Avila College. She was united in marriage to Edward Louis Kasl on June 6, 1975 at Belleville, Kansas and to this union three children were born. They lived in several locations around the world while her husband was in the United States Air Force. They first lived at Williams Air Force Base, Arizona where their daughter Amy Louise was born. They then lived in Tampa, Florida when their first son John Edward was born. Next, they moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where their second son Joseph Geoffrey was born. They also lived at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona; Fort Leavenworth, Kansas; Misawa Air Base, Japan; Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii; Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea; Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama; and Quidersbach, Germany. Following her husband’s retirement from the Air Force, they lived in Litchfield Park, Arizona. Jan was preceded in death by her parents, parents-in-law Sylvia and Harold Kasl, and sister-in-law Pamela Kasl. She will be greatly missed, but forever remembered by her husband and her children; daughter Amy Gabrys and her husband Chris of Ashburn, Virginia; two sons, John Kasl of Litchfield Park, Arizona, Joseph Kasl of Prescott, Arizona; brother James Levondofsky and wife Carol of Belleville, Kansas; four sisters, Shirley Voelker and husband Gary of Portland, Oregon , Joan McKinley of Haslet, Texas, Jean Craig and husband William of San Antonio, Texas, and Marlyn Conrow and her husband Jim of Dallas, Texas; brother-in-law Robert Kasl of Belleville, Kansas; sister-in-law Mary Ann Kasl of Belleville, Kansas; many other relatives and a world-wide community of friends. Funeral Mass was held on December 7, 2010 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Falls Church, Virginia with Father Kevin Beres officiating. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on December 20, 2010 with Father Jorge Kanez officiating at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 13720 West Thomas Road in Avondale, Arizona at 10:00 A.M. She will be laid to rest at the United States Air Force Academy Cemetery. Memorials may made to American Heart And Stroke Association, 4301 N.
