Janie was born in Berea, Ohio and her family relocated to Glendale, Arizona in 1947. She graduated from Glendale High School in 1949. Janie worked as a Contract Specialist and retired from the Bureau of Indian Affairs after 28 years. She then worked for 22 years for the State of Arizona before retiring for good. She was an active member of her beloved First United Methodist Church of Glendale. She enjoyed gardening, cheering for her favorite sports teams, watching movies, attending plays and concerts, and most of all, spending time with her family. She was a good friend to all and will be remembered fondly for her quick wit and sense of humor.
She is survived by her children: Tari (Shawn), Micki (Dave), and Mike (Mellany), brother Butch, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and too many friends to count.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Dora and Willard Krauss, sister Ardis, brothers Bill, and Nelson, and husbands Dennie McClellan, Eddie Furr, and Mac McCutcheon. Her powerful presence and love will be greatly missed.
A visitation at West Resthaven Funeral Home (6450 W Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ) will begin at 12:00 PM on Monday, July 10, 2023, with a funeral service to begin at 1:00 PM.
